About

Hi, I’m An.

I’m a Product Designer from the Bay Area, designing with AI and for AI-focused products.

Portrait of An Nguyen

I have a real passion for motion and visual design — and just as much for the people behind the work: talking with them, understanding their problems, and partnering on the right solution.

Off the clock, I’m a part-time DJ and martial artist. Most weekends you’ll find me chasing down new restaurants with my wife, or taking long walks with her and our dogs along the San Francisco waterfront.

Process

How engagements run

  1. 1

    Align

We clarify goals, constraints, users, and success metrics—so we are solving the right problem.

  2. 2

    Frame and explore

Options, sketches, and prototypes to pressure-test the story before we over-invest in the wrong direction.

  3. 3

    Design and validate

High-craft UI, realistic states, and feedback loops with users or internal SMEs.

  4. 4

    Ship and support

Handoff, rollout support, and tuning after launch—because the first release is never the last lesson.

FAQ

Common questions

How do engagements usually start?

A short intro call, then a written proposal with scope, timeline, and pricing. For audits, I can often begin within a week.

Do you work with small budgets?

Yes—SMBs are the focus. We can phase work so you get clarity early and expand scope once you see value.

Can you work with our existing developers?

Absolutely. I am used to Figma handoff, design tokens, and async collaboration with eng leads.

What if we only need a one-time review?

Audits and workshops are designed to stand alone. Ongoing support is optional if you want help through rollout.

Sometimes the hardest part is reaching out—after that, I make it easy.

Tell me what you are building, what is stuck, and your timeline. I will reply with next steps.
